Lyddie, A book about a girl working at a factory in 1846. It's an odd book, I had trouble following the story line. It seems like the life that could be most girls during that time... trying to supplie for her family, many siblings, a house, no mother, no father. Lyddie lives a hard life. I think girls older than me would enjoy this book more, I think if you had an interest in the time or the factories you'd enjoy this book, though it wasn't for me.
